IBA Japan is pleased to welcome Mr. Haruhiko “Harry” Saito, Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting (TIC) K.K.
On this occasion, Mr. Saito will be giving two presentations: one in Japanese and one in English.

Harry is a well-received speaker with broad experience in financial issues including regulatory issues, compliance and risk management. He has given a number of presentations to IBA Japan members over the years, and provided observations and insights into various key themes.

In light of the recent staff rotation (人事異動), impending FATF evaluation and release of the FSA’s forward looking strategy and review, Harry’s presentation will:

  • Share an overview and discuss the new and current key issues, activities and themes in the Japan FSA.
  • Evaluate the current priorities of the regulator and the potential impact of these on IBA Japan firms and the market.
  • Highlight areas of interest and the potential expectations IBA Japan members can have in the current landscape of the industry. 

Haruhiko “Harry” Saito

Haruhiko “Harry” Saito is the Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting K.K. and has advised more than 300 domestic and foreign financial institutions, including IBA Japan members, on regulatory issues.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Saito worked at the Bank of Japan and served as Japan’s official member in various working groups including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the IOSCO. Mr. Saito holds a BA in Law from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University.
