The International Bankers Association of Japan (IBA Japan) represents a broad and diverse community of global financial institutions operating in Japan. Our membership includes 42 banking institutions, 31 securities firms, alongside 30 asset management firms. We also have 3 Overseas Members, comprising foreign financial institutions considering entry into the Japanese market, following the launch of this membership category in 2026.
In addition, we have 27 associate members active across a wide range of professional services, including law, accountancy, tax, credit ratings, consulting, technology, and financial infrastructure.
Our members range from the world’s largest financial institutions to firms with specialised or bilateral business activities in Japan.
