Mr. Zenji Nakamura

Zenji Nakamura is UBS Group’s Japan Country Head. He additionally serves as Chairman and Representative Director of UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., Representative in Japan and Japan Country Head of UBS AG, Tokyo Branch, as well as President of UBS SuMi TRUST Wealth Management Co., Ltd. He is also Vice-Chair overseeing Member Affairs and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Bankers Association of Japan.

Nakamura joined UBS in 2010 as head of the firm’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities unit in Japan. Two years later he was named Japan Country Head, as well as President and Representative Director of UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd. He also sits on UBS's Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Nakamura launched his career with Nomura, serving in its Tokyo, London, and New York offices in an array of senior roles, including Head of Global Fixed Income and International Head in its Global Markets division. He was appointed an executive officer of that firm in 2006 and senior managing director in 2008.

He holds a master’s degree from Waseda University.
