IBA Japan was featured again in Kinzai in an article titled “The Role of Foreign Financial Institutions in Japan’s Economic Transformation.” The article highlights IBA Japan’s role as a platform for foreign financial institutions operating in Japan across banking, securities and asset management, and notes the Association’s expansion to welcome asset management firms as members from 2024.
The article also covers IBA Japan’s engagement with Japanese authorities and its cooperation with domestic industry bodies, including a personnel exchange programme launched with the Japanese Bankers Association in 2025. It further refers to the diversity of business models represented within the Association’s asset management membership and the importance of industry wide coordination in the current environment.
