BBVA Securities joins the International Bankers Association of Japan

IBA Japan is pleased to welcome BBVAs new local securities subsidiary to the IBA Japan membership in addition to its long-standing membership in the banking sector.

BBVA, Spain's second-largest bank, has been a member of IBA Japan for close to four decades and is the only Spanish lender operating in Japan. With the recent establishment of a local securities subsidiary, BBVA becomes the first Spanish institution to operate a brokerage business in Japan, extending its presence beyond commercial banking into investment banking and securities services.
