There have been a number of recent tax reforms and new legislation affecting the tax cost for expatriate and local employees. Two local experts from PwC will provide an overview of these developments and their impact on firms, focusing on:

Nasir Majid is a Partner in charge of PwC’s International Assignment Services practice in Tokyo, Japan. He has over 29 years of experience in US expatriate tax compliance and consulting services. Nasir is extensively involved in providing a wide array of consulting services and has provided cross border tax planning for a number of top executives of international companies. Nasir is a registered American CPA and a Certified Financial Planner. He holds an MBA from Seattle University.

Marcus Wong is a Partner in PwC’s International Assignment Services practice in Tokyo. He has over 15 years of experience providing and managing expatriate compliance programs, assignment tax planning, outsourcing, and international human resource consulting services. Marcus previously worked at PwC’s Toronto office, where he advised companies and executives with their US and Japan income and social security tax compliance and planning issues. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto , is a registered American CPA, and a Certified Management Accountant of Ontario.
