IBA Japan is pleased to welcome Mr. Haruhiko “Harry” Saito, Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting (TIC) K.K.
Mr. Saito will be giving two presentations: one in Japanese and one in English.

Harry is one of IBA Japan's most popular speakers with broad experience in financial issues including regulation, compliance, and risk management. He has given a number of presentations to IBA Japan members over the years and provided observations and insights into various key themes.

In light of recent changes in FSA management and policy, Harry’s presentation will:

  • Share an overview of the changes and discuss new and current key issues, activities, and themes at the FSA.
  • Evaluate the current FSA priorities and the potential impact of these on IBA Japan firms and the market.
  • Highlight areas of interest and the potential changes in the regulatory landscape and the industry.

Haruhiko “Harry” Saito

Haruhiko “Harry” Saito is the Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting K.K. and has advised more than 300 domestic and foreign financial institutions, including IBA Japan members, on regulatory issues.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Saito worked at the Bank of Japan and served as Japan’s official member in various working groups including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the IOSCO. Mr. Saito holds a BA in Law from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University.
