Over the next decade, the labor market in Japan is expected to change dramatically, making compensation packages more important than ever as firms compete to attract top talent. Two experts from Towers Watson will give an overview of expected changes in salary movement and review practices in Japan. The presentation will also feature an analysis of key points of particular interest to financial firms, including:

  • Hot jobs, allocation of salary budget increases to high performers and variable pay trends
  • HR trends and challenging issues in the financial services industry
     

Yu is a Consultant with Global Data Services at Towers Watson Tokyo. She has several years’ experience designing and managing compensation and benefit surveys for a broad range of industries including: High Tech, Pharmaceutical and Health Services, Financial Services, Media and General Industry. Yu takes part in several compensation-related projects including job pricing, compensation analyses and compensation structure. Yu holds degree in Sociology from Keio University. 

Linda Haas is a Benefits Consultant at Towers Watson Tokyo. Before joining the Tokyo team, she worked for Towers Watson's international consulting group in London and New York. Prior to joining Towers Watson she worked in the actuarial unit of a major reinsurance company. Linda advises clients on several aspects of pension funds, including: pension fund administration and accounting, the legal framework, plan design and employee communication, and actuarial benefit valuations. Linda holds a degree in actuarial sciences from the University of Lausanne.
