The IBA is pleased to welcome Mr. Nozaki, rated Japan’s top banking analyst by Nikkei Veritas in March 2009, to share his insights on the outlook for Japan’s bank sector. In his first talk to the IBA’s membership, Mr. Nozaki will discuss:
- capital adequacy standards and the impact on Japanese bank stocks and competitiveness;
- further regulatory tightening;
- interest rate normalization; and
industry realignment.
Mr. Nozaki’s career in Japan’s banking sector spans nearly a quarter of a century. He joined Citigroup as a Managing Director in 2004 and has been ranked the No. 1 analyst for the industry by the Institutional Investor’s survey each year since. Mr. Nozaki graduated from Keio University with a bachelor degree in Economics and holds a Master of Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.
