TOKYO AIM is a new concept for Japanese equity markets. It is a joint venture arising out of a partnership between the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange (LSE). With operations to begin this spring, this new market will provide an attractive funding option for growing companies in Japan and Asia, as well as create new opportunities for professional investors. For further information please visit: http://www.tokyo-aim.com.
The IBA is pleased to welcome two TOKYO AIM representatives who are closely involved in the launch and regulation of TOKYO AIM, and a UK lawyer who is an expert on the LSE’s AIM market on which parts of TOKYO AIM are modelled. Specifically, they will:
- provide an overview of TOKYO AIM;
- describe the admission process for interested companies; and
- discuss the role of the J-Nomad (Nominated Advisor) and measures to protect the Nomad.
