IBA RECOMMENDATIONS TO PROMOTE TOKYO

AS A GLOBAL FINANCIAL CENTER

On March 16, 2007, the IBA published a position paper on promoting Tokyo as a global financial center. The paper is the product of extensive discussions among IBA member banks and securities companies. We hope it will be viewed as a constructive contribution to the current debate on how to make Tokyo a truly global financial center, a goal which the IBA strongly supports.
