This is a seminar on the new Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (FIEL) is targeted at all non-compliance staff needing a basic understanding of the law, with an emphasis on transactions with professional investors and the conduct rules regarding sales solicitation.


As the former General Counsel of a major foreign financial conglomerate, Ikenaga Sensei specializes in the fields of regulatory issues, regulatory investigation and inspection, international finance and securitization, compliance and corporate governance matters. He has a great deal of experience in dealing with the Financial Services Agency and other regulatory bodies and providing advice on such laws and regulations as the Securities Exchange Law and the Banking Law. His practice also includes general corporate matters with an emphasis on M&A. He is a member of the bar in Japan, New York and Michigan.
