Based on his recently-published book, Mr. Ishizaka will share his thought-provoking ideas on how we can develop more Japanese talents to become global leaders. Reflecting the current boom in Japan about Ancient Rome, he will draw some vital lessons from the Ancient Romans, which Japan and Japan HR could probably learn from. This presentation will include:
· Why we need more Japanese global leaders
· Why we don’t have enough of them in Japan
· Lessons we can learn from Ancient Rome
· What HR can do
Mr. Satoshi Ishizaka is Head of Human Resources at Standard Chartered Bank Japan. His recently published book 「なぜ外資でローマ流が成功しているのか」 has drawn interest from the business community and he has been given various seminars and interviews recently. Prior to Standard Chartered he worked in the HR department of Nokia for five years, with assignments in Finland and Singapore. He was awarded the Foreign Minister Award in 1998 by winning first place in the UN Official Language Test. He holds an Executive MBA from Helsinki School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from Temple University USA.
