Dr. Robert Feldman, Head of Japan Economic Research

Dr. Feldman is one of the most respected economists in Japan. He discussed the following:
• Economic outlook: From business cycle to business wiggle
• Market outlook: Interest rates and exchange rates
• Demographic challenge: Productivity, participation, and profits
• Fiscal and structural reform: Low hanging fruit for business
• Politics and dyslexia: Is Prime Minister Abe a dog or a god?
Robert Feldman is Head of Japan Economic Research for Morgan Stanley Japan. He forecasts the Japanese economy, financial markets and policy developments. He participates in many government study groups, and comments regularly on World Business Satellite, the nightly business program of TV Tokyo. Previously, Robert worked at Salomon Brothers and the International Monetary Fund. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and did his undergraduate work at Yale University. Robert first came to Japan in 1970, as an exchange student.
