On September 5, the SESC released a policy statement under the new Board inaugurated in July. Secretary-General Naito will give an overview of the SESC’s new strategy. As the top official in the SESC’s Executive Bureau, Naito-san has overall responsibility for executing the policies agreed upon by the SESC’s Board which consists of three Commissioners.


Junichi Naito was appointed Secretary-General of the SESC in July 2006. He joined the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in 1975 and has held progressively senior positions with the MOF, including in the Financial System Planning Bureau, the Banking Bureau and the Securities Bureau. He has a PhD in Economics from Nagoya University.
