UPDATE ON FSA FINANCIAL INSPECTIONS

The IBA was pleased to hold a luncheon for members featuring a senior representative from the FSA.

 

Guest Speaker: 

 

Mr. Takahiro Yasui, Director, Planning and Research Office, Inspection Bureau, Financial Services Agency

 

Mr. Yasui discussed the recent developments in financial inspections conducted by the FSA Inspection Bureau, including: the current inspection focuses; the aims and functions of the newly-implemented FSA Rating System; and the ongoing compilation/review of FSA Inspection Manuals. 

 

Mr. Yasui assumed his current responsibilities with the Inspection Bureau in August 2005, after serving as Director in charge of insurance regulation in the Planning and Coordination Bureau since he joined the FSA in July 2003.  Previously, he worked for the Ministry of Finance in a number of capacities, and for the OECD as an Administrator in the Financial Markets Division.
