THE PURPOSE OF BOJ'S ON-SITE EXAMINATION
Mr. Kazuhiro Masaki, Director for Planning for Financial Stability, discussed the purpose of the BOJ's on-site examinations.
BOJ'S ON-SITE EXAMINATION POLICY FOR FISCAL 2007
Mr. Shinichiro Hayashi, Director of Bank Examination Planning and Support, discussed the BOJ's on-site examination policy for fiscal 2007, focusing on the following issues:
• A review of fiscal 2006
• Core elements of the BOJ's on-site examinations as it applies to fiscal 2007
• General principles for practical implementation of examinations
BOJ'S OFF-SITE MONITORING OF FOREIGN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Mr. Soichi Sato, Director, Head of Surveillance of Foreign Banks & Head of Securities Business Surveillance, discussed the roles and activities involved in the BOJ's off-site monitoring of foreign financial institutions.
