This presentation was conducted in English.
Guest Speaker: Mr. Barney F. Pelant, President and Director, Barney F. Pelant & Associates
In April, a seasoned BCP leader outlined the keys to planning, developing, implementing and maintaining an ongoing BCP and DR program. With over twenty-five years of experience, Mr. Pelant highlighted strategies to combat potential disastrous threats and risks from outside the organization's control (i.e., natural disasters) and risks that can be managed from within an organization (i.e., manmade disasters). He also provided a business impact analysis overview, and highlighted the relationship between BCP and operational risk and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
