IBA PANDEMIC WORKING GROUP MEETING LUNCHEON
ON THE AVIAN INFLUENZA VIRUS

 

Mr. Stewart McLaren, Director of Business Continuity Risk at Credit Suisse Securities (Japan) Ltd. and who also serves as the IBA Pandemic Working Group Chairman was pleased to host the meeting for this group. Since its formation in April 2005, the purpose of the IBA’s Pandemic Working Group has been to study the impact of the avian influenza virus and to better prepare member banks and securities companies for an outbreak.

 

Meeting Agenda:

 

1) Mercer HR pandemic preparedness survey results presentation; 

 

2) Intellitest web-based avian influenza virus training module presentation and proposal;

 

3) IBA member firm discussion of the Japanese government pandemic preparedness plans;

 

4) IBA member firm discussion on avian influenza virus communication.

 

All attendees are requested to bring to the meeting copies of their posters or web sites that they are currently using or will be using for internal staff communications on the avian influenza virus.
