CRISIS MANAGEMENT & PREPAREDNESS ORGANIZATION (CMPO) UPDATE
(This meeting was conducted in English.)
Speakers:
Mr. Nathan Lee Rhoden, Director, CMPO
Mr. Yuki Konno, Researcher, CMPO
The IBA was pleased to have two leading disaster recovery specialists from CMPO address this group in June.
Specifically, they covered the following areas in their presentation:
• Introduction, role and services of the new Japanese organization called the Business Continuity Advancement Organization (BCAO);
• Recent CMPO activities domestically and abroad.
CMPO is a non-profit organization inspired by the Business and Industry Council for Emergency Planning and Preparedness (BICEPP) in Los Angeles. CMPO’s primary mission is to assist Japanese corporations in preparing for disasters and has helped hundreds of corporations and individuals to be better prepared to deal with this threat.
The Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and CMPO are all members of the BCAO Board of Directors. For further information in Japanese, please check out BCAO’s webpage at
